We have included a leaflet in this noticesheet about the Academy modules which we will be running this autumn. Do have a look at what is on offer and see if one or more of them could be made to fit with your personal timetable.
Peter Phipps will be teaching on all of the books of the New Testament on a Tuesday morning. This is an excellent course and will give an overview of the background and teaching in each of the books. Many people have done this course by now and all have come away enriched.
The module on ‘Know yourself’ sounds like a contradiction in terms to start with because we feel that if we knew God better then we would understand ourselves more straight away. There is truth in that, but also the more we understand of ourselves the better equipped we become to serve the Lord. We become more patient with ourselves and try less frequently to make ourselves into someone we were never created to be.
We will be offering leadership training over a period of 9 months with a Saturday session running monthly for three terms. This is based on the Growing Leaders course which has been honed and produced by CPAS. There is a course book of the same title written by James Lawrence which you can find on the bookstall.
If you wish to enroll on any of these modules then please give your name in to the office. The cost has been kept to £60 for each one with a half price concession.
